HEADS UP UK: PITCH BLACK HEIST TO PREMIERE ON FILM4
Pitch Black Heist, the 2012 BAFTA Short Film winner from director John Maclean and executive producers Michael Fassbender and Liam Cunningham, will make it’s Film4 television debut on November 17th at 10:45 p.m. The film, of course, stars Fassbender and Cunningham as two thieves who plan a heist that they must attempt in complete darkness. Alright you lucky Brits (and everyone else who gets Film4). I hope you’ll share some of that luck…wink, wink.

Hipster breakfast (takes hours and fairly inedible, served by a guy with a quiff and moustache combo). The New Museum of Art, for a group show, pretty average, too many big metal sculptures (New Yorkers have big dogs to suggest they have big flats, perhaps they make big sculptures to suggest they have big studios.)
Off to a Scottish theme bar (Google suggested it, closest to cinema) to meet M Fassbender, co-incidentally in NY and up for escorting us to the NY premiere of Pitch Black Heist.
Screening went well, more laughs than anywhere else (even more than Ireland.) Michael mobbed by mobile phone photographers. Off for swanky food, jumped the Q Hollywood style, then cocktails, then I’m not sure, but I think we went uptown…

LIAM CUNNINGHAM TALKS FASSBENDER
GQ.com recently interviewed ‘Game of Thrones’ star, Liam Cunningham (who I’m a bit infatuated with - don’t ask), and the following is an excerpt in which he speaks about Michael Fassbender and ‘Pitch Black Heist’:
On another note, you’ve worked with GQ cover star Michael Fassbender…
I’ve worked with him a few times. We won the BAFTA for Best Short with Pitch Black Heist. Michael and I executive produced it: it’s a nice little 35ml anamorphic two-hander with a bit of comedy in it and a bit of a heist. Myself and Michael are mates and as you guys know he’s a top man. He’s a guy in the right place at the right time, as they say. Fair play to him. Long may it continue!
