20th CENTURY FOX CONFIRMS THEY’RE ‘ACTIVELY PUSHING AHEAD’ WITH PROMETHEUS SEQUEL - FASS & NOOMI ALREADY SIGNED

Via THR:
“The studio’s big summer bet was Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, June’s sort-of Alien prequel. The $130 million-budgeted film grossed a solid but not spectacular $303 million globally, putting it right on the franchise bubble. Fox confirms to THR that Scott and the studio actively are pushing ahead with a follow-up (stars Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace are signed) and are talking to new writers because Prometheus co-scribe Damon Lindelof might not be available. “Ridley is incredibly excited about the movie, but we have to get it right. We can’t rush it,” says Fox president of production Emma Watts, who also has overseen the successful reboots of the X-Men and Planet of the Apes franchises. A Prometheus sequel would be released in 2014 or 2015.”
Thank God they’re looking for new writers. Not a fan of Lindelof.
MICHAEL AND NOOMI ON THE TODAY SHOW!
First, they need not to have shown clips of the movie while Michael was talking. Second, that was the shortest and almost pointless interview ever. Boo on you, Today Show.
OH MY GOD… I’M IN LOVE WITH A HOBO HIPSTER (I need a moment)
WHAT’CHA WEARING THERE, FASS?

RIDLEY SCOTT ‘TIME OUT LONDON’ INTERVIEW

Director Ridley Scott tells Cath Clarke why he’s making a science fiction comeback.
Below is my favorite part of the article:
Noomi Rapace, playing one half of the archeologist duo, looks every inch a heroine in the Ripley mould. Scott watched her twice as kick-ass feminist avenger Lisbeth Salander in the original ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ before meeting her. (Though she may not be so tough in real life – she had to get Michael Fassbender to open her mineral water bottle at the press conference.)
Fassbender plays an android, David (the ship’s butler), and he’s the character Scott is most enthusiastic talking about. There’s a great scene, he explains, where David is pouring a drink for a tipsy crewman, who’s ribbing him about not being human: ‘Are David’s feelings hurt? Is he pissed off? How far is he away from being dangerous?’ And how far from being human, presumably – if he’s feeling human emotions? ‘Exactly right. And it evolves beautifully at the end.’

DAVID 8 CHECKING OUT THE HOTNESS THAT IS NOOMI RAPACE.
Gratuitous crotch shot? NO, perverts! I have mad love for his hands and I really like this shot of his hand on the cryo sleeper. And I’ve never, not once, thought of where his hand might land if it slipped off the sleeper. Not once. Not even thinking it right now. Not even. Now, excuse me. I’ve got to um…go do some stuff.
