IT’S MY BLOGAVERSARY!

Okay, not really.
My blog turned ONE YEAR OLD on December 27th! And I forgot. But in my defense, I’ve been on the other side of the country with family and if you knew what that entailed you’d understand. Anyway, I just got back from my 3 1/2 week vacation where, with a couple of exceptions, I abstained from all things Fassbender. Thankfully it was pretty quiet on that front because it felt good to take a break and devote the extra attention to other things. Anyway, in honor of my little one’s belated birfday I thought I’d post a bunch of caps from one of the videos that was most instrumental in influencing me to start a blog but I later realized that I was the only one who knew why I posted those. After editing them I’d completely forgotten my reason for wanting to post them in the first place. It happens. A lot.
Anyway, this post is to let you know why. It’s also to thank those of you who’ve been so supportive of and positive towards myself and the blog. You know who you are and you’ve been a great source of positive energy in what can often be the very strange world of Fassbender fandom. You guys help to keep it cool in here. So keep sending me messages that I’ll take forever to get back to and keep dropping by whenever you have the time. And stop waiting to say hello if you’re shy. Just say it. I won’t bite. That’s a lie but say hello, anyway. Thanks, everyone. Oh, and of course, a very special ‘thank you’ to the inspirational Mr. Fassbender. If he’s ever seen this blog, I imagine his expression might be similar to the one in the above photo. Little bit of confusion, tiny bit of anger, smidgen of “I can’t with this bitch”.

HEADS UP NEW MEXICO: MICHAEL FASSBENDER’S ‘FRANK’ TO FILM SCENES IN ALBUQUERQUE NEXT MONTH

Several areas of Downtown will be shut down in early January for the filming of the new movie “Frank.”
The film is advising businesses Downtown that the film, a comedy that stars Michael Fassbender and Maggie Gyllenhaal, will be shooting on Jan. 8, 11, 15 and 17.
The film will be shooting at Doubletree Hotel, the Albuquerque Convention Center, the Fourth Street Mall, Sister bar, and the Sunshine Theater, said location manager Deborah Wakshull in a letter left at local businesses over the weekend.
Residents and businesses will have access during the filming.
The film is written by award-winning comedian Jon Ronson, who wrote “The Men Who Stare at Goats,” which was also filmed in New Mexico.
God, that face.
MICHAEL IS ONE OF ‘TOTAL FILM’S’ ‘GREATEST MOVIE PEOPLE OF 2012’
#7 Michael Fassbender
If 2011 was the year of Gosling, 2012 was the year that Fassbender well and truly KOed the big screen.
He came out of the holding gate firing on all cylinders. Metaphorically, of course, because it was Shame that had people whispering all January aboutthat guy who went full frontal in some film about a sex addict.
True to form, Fassbender ensured people were also talking about the performance – a fragile, shivering turn that was unutterably haunting.
That he followed it up with blockbuster Prometheus – of which it’s generally agreed he was the best component – proved Fassbender could do anything. Yes, even survive having his head ripped off by an angry alien.
A little scar appreciation pic
HE’S COMING.
Dear Santa, I want a jog with the one on the right, a shag with the one on his knee, a kiss from the one on the left and a dance with the one in front. Thanks in advance for your full attention to this matter.
COMMENT OF THE DAY.
AND IN ‘WHO GIVES A FLYING F♥CK?’ NEWS:

Entertainment Weekly has just released the results of it’s ‘Entertainers of the Year’ poll and Mr. Fassbender is tied (okay, almost tied) for first place with Channing Tatum as ‘Sexiest Male Entertainer’. He lost by 91 votes! Okay, who were the 91+ Fass fans that slept on this poll?
SEXIEST MALE ENTERTAINER
Channing Tatum, 19% (2,150 votes)
Michael Fassbender, 19% (2,059 votes)
Ian Somerhalder, 16%
Adam Levine, 10%
Now, I know it’s just a meaningless EW poll and God knows some of the names on these lists deserve an eye roll, but the category below did serve to remind me of why I’m happy that Fass is working like a just off the boat West Indian. So that his talent will be showcased and appreciated more often and on a broader level (superfluous polls aside).
FAVORITE MOVIE ACTOR
Robert Downey Jr., 20%
Channing Tatum, 17%
Christian Bale, 16%
Andrew Garfield, 11%
Also, I chose this photo because it says, “Hi, I’m Michael Fassbender. I’m sexy and talented and should be everybody’s favorite everything.”
IAN MCKELLEN TALKS RETURNING TO X-MEN, MICHAEL FASSBENDER AND A JEWISH ACTOR PLAYING MAGNETO

Earlier today, in an interview with the Huffington Post, Sir Ian McKellan was asked about both his return to the X-Men franchise and his opinions on Michael Fassbender playing the role of the younger Erik Lensherr, aka, Magneto. His responses were, as always, entertaining and insightful. Via The HuffPo:
Bryan Singer announced that you’re playing Magneto again. Is that something you’ve been wanting to do? This will be your fourth movie with Bryan Singer, did that help persuade you?
What a gas! I mean, Patrick Stewart and I have been have just been playing “Waiting for Godot” throughout England and in the West End of London. So, we’ve stayed in touch. We can’t believe it [laughs]. I thought these were Fassbender and McAvoy’s parts, but — no, no — we’re back. We’ll give them a run for their money. I mean, I haven’t read the script, so I don’t know how much we’ve got to do. But, to be back in that world, and for Bryan to be doing it — with all the success he’s had in the meantime — it’s wonderful. Wonderful.
What did you think of Michael Fassbender as Magneto in “X-Men: First Class”?
Yeah! I thought he was exactly that: first class. Excellent.
You never thought, Hey, I’ve got my eye on you. That’s my part.
[Laughs] No. No. I thought he was better than me. But, we weren’t quite playing the same character because he was so much younger than me. And the scope of Magneto, one day a Jewish actor will play it. Clearly, he’s Jewish. We first meet him in at Auschwitz and there’s scope for all sorts of people to play Magneto. But, I was just the lucky guy who got to play him first.
I’m dying at the “I thought he was better than me” part. And loving “we’ll give them a run for their money.” Oh, Sir Ian, how can one not be head over heels in love with you?
IF GQ HAD A VAMPIRE EDITION THIS COULD SO BE A COVER
