NICOLE BEHARIE CONFIRMS THAT SHE AND MICHAEL FASSBENDER ARE ‘NO LONGER DATING’
In a move uncharacteristic of her normally private self, Nicole Beharie tweeted today that she, indeed, was in Thailand (for 3 weeks), that she was also in Albuquerque, New Mexico and that she and Michael Fassbender are no longer dating.

Damn. Spending Christmas and New Years together in paradise only to end it all in a desert. Or did they? Her wording is interesting. I do wish them both the best.
“HE KEEPS THE HEAD ON FOR ALL THE SCENES IN THE FILM”

Via the Irish Independent:
He [Michael Fassbender] will wear a fiberglass head throughout his new film ‘Frank’. Not since John Hurt played the ‘Elephant Man’ has a leading man been so disguised for a film role. However, producer Ed Guiney said the false head has not inhibited the Killarney man, working with his fellow cast. “Michael is Michael after all, even with a fiberglass head on. He keeps the head on for all the scenes in the film. Everyone’s just got used to it.”
Well… there you have it, then. #gonnagocrynow #pleasegodletthisbefalse
CAN’T WAIT TO SEE MORE OF THAT SMILE IN THE NEW YEAR
FASSY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!

HEADS UP NEW MEXICO: MICHAEL FASSBENDER’S ‘FRANK’ TO FILM SCENES IN ALBUQUERQUE NEXT MONTH

Several areas of Downtown will be shut down in early January for the filming of the new movie “Frank.”
The film is advising businesses Downtown that the film, a comedy that stars Michael Fassbender and Maggie Gyllenhaal, will be shooting on Jan. 8, 11, 15 and 17.
The film will be shooting at Doubletree Hotel, the Albuquerque Convention Center, the Fourth Street Mall, Sister bar, and the Sunshine Theater, said location manager Deborah Wakshull in a letter left at local businesses over the weekend.
Residents and businesses will have access during the filming.
The film is written by award-winning comedian Jon Ronson, who wrote “The Men Who Stare at Goats,” which was also filmed in New Mexico.
God, that face.
MICHAEL IS ONE OF ‘TOTAL FILM’S’ ‘GREATEST MOVIE PEOPLE OF 2012’
#7 Michael Fassbender
If 2011 was the year of Gosling, 2012 was the year that Fassbender well and truly KOed the big screen.
He came out of the holding gate firing on all cylinders. Metaphorically, of course, because it was Shame that had people whispering all January aboutthat guy who went full frontal in some film about a sex addict.
True to form, Fassbender ensured people were also talking about the performance – a fragile, shivering turn that was unutterably haunting.
That he followed it up with blockbuster Prometheus – of which it’s generally agreed he was the best component – proved Fassbender could do anything. Yes, even survive having his head ripped off by an angry alien.

ABOUT MICHAEL’S WHEREABOUTS AND RELATIONSHIP STATUS: DOES ANYONE REALLY KNOW ANYTHING?
A recent blurb in the Herald.ie described Michael Fassbender as ‘the single hunk’. I can’t speak on him being single, as I don’t know about that. But I suspect that the Herald.ie is as unaware as I am since I’ve seen no articles on their site about him announcing his relationship status. And this is a paper that never acknowledged his most recent relationship to begin with. So I’m not sure how they’d know, as they listed no source for their statement. Quite frankly, I don’t think they know any more than fans on various sites proclaiming the same thing.
Anyway, I find it interesting that according to the Herald.ie he was once again at Lillie’s Bordello in Dublin this past weekend. Yet according to the following tweet, he was at the airport on Friday. I’m assuming he was departing. But like everyone else, I don’t know.

So, yeah, maybe the person who tweeted that was being less than truthful and maybe Michael was at Lillie’s. But then there’s this:

The same person then followed up with this:

I admit, I side-eyed both of those tweets real hard. Bangkok? Though, I guess that would explain the airport tweet by that other person. But what about that pesky Herald.ie blurb about him being at Lilllie’s? The Bankok tweeter was asked and answered:

I question all of it, really. It’s all plausible, of course. But my point is that, quite frankly, none of us really knows anything. People have tweeted that he was in places that he was most definitely not in. The Irish papers have been less than factual with a few details in recent articles about him - printing false statements that seem more like speculation than fact-checked information. I expect speculation from us (and boy, are we ever doing it - to the point that a lot of it is starting to read like ‘facts’) but not from the press. In any case, I’ll wait for the facts, as I’ve been doing, and continue to keep my own speculation off the blog.

JOEL EDGERTON IN TALKS FOR ‘JANE GOT A GUN’

It looks as though Australian actor Joel Edgerton will be playing opposite Michael Fassbender and Natalie Portman in ‘Jane Got A Gun’. According to reports, Edgerton is in talks to play Bill Hammond, outlaw husband to Portman’s Jane. Awesome casting, if true. Per Deadline:
Joel Edgerton is in negotiations to join the cast of Jane’s Got A Gun, the Lynne Ramsey-directed Western action film that stars Natalie Portman and Michael Fassbender. It is set to start shooting early next year. The pic centers on Jane Hammond (Portman), who reaches out to her ex-lover (Fassbender) to help her when her outlaw husband becomes the target of a violent gang. Edgerton would play the husband. Edgerton will soon to be seen in the Kathryn Bigelow-directed Zero Dark Thirty, playing the Squadron Team Leader in the film about the hunt for Osama bin Laden. He also co-stars in The Great Gatsby and Felony, both of which are due out next year. He is repped by CAA.
Still super anxious to hear who’s playing bad guy, John Bishop! Click here for the official synopsis of the film.
HE’S COMING.
Dear Santa, I want a jog with the one on the right, a shag with the one on his knee, a kiss from the one on the left and a dance with the one in front. Thanks in advance for your full attention to this matter.
